Palace not buying Midas statement on Corona SALN
MANILA, Philippines - The Palace is not buying a reported statement of Court administrator Jose Midas Marquez that Supreme Court Clerk of court Atty. Enriqueta Vidal had already been authorized to release Chief Justice Renato Corona’s statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) ahead of her appearance at the impeachment court.
“In the first instance she refused to submit it,” Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigal Valte said.
“The prevailing opinion is that nobody is buying that because it was very clear from her testimony that she refused in the first instance to submit despite the receipt of the subpoena,” she added.
Vidal on Wednesday turned over to the impeachment court Corona's SALNs on the order of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.
Marquez later said Corona had already authorized the release of his SALN. He said Corona also gave assurance to Vidal that she will not be sanctioned for releasing his SALN to the impeachment court.

Wala namang naniniwala Kay Midas
i am pluma saka na yang comment mo tungkol sa hacienda. Unahin muna natin tungkol sa impeachment. Sino ang maniniwal kay Midas. Nanunuod sya sa TV kasama ng taga GMA at kita nya na ayaw ilabas ng clerk yong SALN. Napilitan lang yong clerk ng inutos ni Enrile na i surrender yong SALN. Nang makita ni Midas, tumawag sya sa telepono at lumabas ng pinto ng opisina nya. Pag balik nya sinabi nya na payag naman daw si CJ na irelease yong SALN. Wala nalang silang magawa kaya kabig sila at pinalalabas na payag sila na irelease yong dokumento. Dito lang halata na sinungaling yong mag among Midas at Corona. Yong project na ni loan sa WB, pinagdududahan din sila dahil sa pagigiging sinungaling ng mag amo.

ever wonder why the HLI (aquino-cojuangco family) did not appeal (yet) the decision of the supreme court to distribute the hacienda luisita? it is because they are counting on noynoy and his prostituted allies in congress to railroad the impeachment of the chief justice. the real intention is to pressure the CJ to resign so they can use mr. mambabraso (pnoy's lapdog - sc) in sc to reverse the ruling of sc in luisita.
if noynoy is fortunate to remove corona from sc, the task would be easier. however, nonoy and his prostituted allies in congress did not expect that their original plan to pressure corona to resign will fizzle out. now that the original plan has gone kaput, the amateurs need to prove their case or else they need to start wearing some mask.
