'Danny Ilokano' robbery group leader nabbed
MANILA, Philippines – The leader of the Danny Ilokano robbery group, tagged by police as the most notorious criminal group in Valenzuela City, has been arrested by Valenzuela Police.
Valenzuela chief of police Sr. Supt. Eric Armamento said authorities were able to locate the suspect, Danilo Rosario alias “Danny Ilokano,” through one of the group’s members.
The member, Michael Sison, was previously arrested in Kanumay West, Valenzuela.
Police said Rosario and Sison are allegedly involved in a number of robbery incidents in the city, the latest of which involved the robbery of P200,000 worth of gadgets from a group of University of the East Caloocan students.
The suspects are also accused of stealing P500,000 worth of cash and jewelry from a certain Ivan Bernardino.
Police said the suspects have been tagged in 7 more cases of robbery.
Aside from robbery charges, they will also face charges of illegal possession of firearms and violation of the election gun ban. -- Report from Robert Mano, dzMM
