MANILA, Philippines – After drawing stupendous performances from James Yap and Denzel Bowles in Game 5, the B-Meg Derby Ace is seeking to conclude its best-of-seven series with defending champions Talk 'N Text on Friday.

Yap and Bowles combined for 58 points last Wednesday as the Llamados ripped the Texters, 82-66.

B-Meg coach Tim Cone said everybody is expecting them to go for the kill in Game 6.

"The pressure is on us to close out the series, especially against a great team like Talk 'N Text," Cone said in PBA.ph.

Cone said he hopes his Llamados, especially Yap and Bowles, will reprise their roles when they take on the Texters on Friday’s Game 6.

“I hope we have another effort like that, I hope Denzel has another effort like that. I hope James has another effort like that,” said the B-Meg tactician.

B-Meg’s victory broke the series deadlock, 3-2, and placed the Llamados just a win away from taking the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Unknown to many, Yap was playing with a bum finger when he exploded with 30 points for the Llamados.

The two-time Most Valuable Player injured his right middle finger early in the series, but this didn’t stop him from burning the hoops.

"Pagdating sa ganitong sitwasyon kailangan huwag na bigyan ng discouragement 'yung katawan, kelangan bounce-back para makatulong sa team," Yap said.

Yap was four-for-four from the three point area and 10-for-16 from the field. He also brought down nine rebounds.

"Patayan na itong series na ito, e. Focused ako di ko kinuk'westyon sarili ko," he said.

The Texters, who have won four of the last five PBA championships, seemed to have been shaken by their Game 5 loss.

Coach Chot Reyes said he doesn't know if his boys are still up to the task.

"They played tremendous defense and we couldn't get untracked," he said after witnessing his team come up with its lowest output in seven years. "Our defense was not bad. Once you hold down your opponent to 82 points you should win games.”

"But our offense tonight was completely off the mark and I don't think if there's something left in our tank. Tingin ko wala na kami."
